Aschaffenburg Residents Invited to Border Hike This Friday

Aschaffenburg residents are invited to a border hike this Friday, October 3rd. Buses will depart from the city centre at 7:30 AM, heading towards Hohe Wart. The hike is organized by several local bodies and will proceed regardless of the weather.

The hike, which is part of the Border Hiking Conference, will start at 8:45 AM at the path to the Spatzenbild between Hohe-Wart-Haus and Sendemast. Participants should wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for the weather. The route will take them past six boundary markers, ending with a final rest at the sports club in Volkersbrunn.

A free snack will be provided around 10:45 AM to keep energy levels up. Buses will be available for the return trip, ensuring a safe journey back to the starting point.

The border hike, organized by the Gesellschaft für Grenzwissenschaften, promises an informative and enjoyable day out. With careful planning and appropriate attire, participants can look forward to a memorable experience exploring the local boundaries.
