Audio Walk titled "No Ship will Come" in Bremen's old overseas harbor is set to be released as a mobile version shortly.

The city of Bremen is set to unveil a new chapter in its innovative audio walk series, "Bremen Places in Radical Change", with the release of "No Ship Will Come" on October 20th, 2024.

The second part of the series, "No Ship Will Come", is an interactive urban performance, much like its predecessor, "Shaking Hands with Ghosts". Both audio walks can be experienced via mobile phone, internet, or an app, offering a unique and immersive experience for all.

Katrin Bretschneider, the director, producer, and performer of "No Ship Will Come", has crafted a site-specific audio experience that blends storytelling with the surrounding environment. The walk explores themes that resonate with the city's identity, focusing on locations that have played a significant role in Bremen's recent history.

The mobile version of "No Ship Will Come" will be available for public use starting in spring 2024, with an official launch event scheduled for October 20th, 2024, at the Blue Manege in Bremen. The event will also mark the launch of the mobile version of "Shaking Hands with Ghosts", the first part of the series, which is already available as a mobile version.

The series, "Bremen Places in Radical Change", premiered before "No Ship Will Come" and has been well-received by locals and visitors alike. The official launch event for "Shaking Hands with Ghosts" took place before October 20th, 2024, and led through the grounds of the former AG Weser, now the site of the Waterfront.

"No Ship Will Come" is a continuation of the series' exploration of Bremen's identity, offering a unique perspective on the city's history and development. The audio walk is set in various locations, including the Overseas Port, which was filled with several million cubic meters of sand in 1998, marking the beginning of the urban development project "Overseas City".

The production of "No Ship Will Come" was a collaborative effort, with Ilona Marti serving as sound designer and Christina Vogelsang and Verena Ries as dramaturgs. The team has worked tirelessly to create an engaging and immersive experience that will captivate audiences and deepen their understanding of Bremen's history and identity.
