Bamberg Offers Art Scholarship 2026 for Local Artists
The district of Bamberg is offering the 'Art Scholarship Region Bamberg 2026' for local artists. Professionals in visual arts, contemporary fine arts, and other disciplines can apply until December 1, 2025. The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of 1,500 euros for six months.
Applications should be submitted to the Landratsamt Bamberg, Fachbereich Kultur und Sport. The application form is available on the district's website: landkreis-bamberg.de/Kunst-Musik-Theater. A five-member jury, including the district administrator, the cultural referent of the city of Bamberg, the current scholarship holder, and two experts from music and literature, will decide on the award in January or February 2026. The funding period begins on March 1, 2026, and ends on December 31, 2026. A public presentation of the results will take place in cooperation with the district or city of Bamberg.
The 'Art Scholarship Region Bamberg 2026' aims to support local artists in their creative endeavours. Successful applicants will receive a substantial financial contribution for six months, providing them with the opportunity to focus on their artistic pursuits.
