Bremen's 'Red Beet' Garden Reopens April 1st for Community Gardening
The 'Red Beet' garden, a community initiative in Bremen, is set to reopen on April 1st. Located in the Huckelrieder Vonovia settlement, opposite the barracks entrance at Niedersachsendamm 46-48, the garden aims to promote local climate and environmental protection. It was established by the 'Huckelrieder Climate Experts', a project of the Martinsclub Bremen e.V.
The Martinsclub Bremen e.V. is inviting everyone interested in gardening to join the 'Garden Group' at the 'Red Beet' garden. The group will meet every Thursday from 4 to 6 pm to garden together. Participants can plant fruit and vegetables and spend time together in nature. To kickstart the new season, new raised beds will be built on April 1st, and fresh waffles will be served.
The 'Red Beet' garden is supported by the 'Climate Protection in Daily Life' funding program of the Senator for Environment, Climate, and Science of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. It was finally created by local residents and urban gardening enthusiasts who wanted to make a difference in their community.
The reopening of the 'Red Beet' garden is an exciting opportunity for Bremen residents to come together, grow their own produce, and contribute to local environmental protection. The Martinsclub Bremen e.V. welcomes all interested individuals to join the 'Garden Group' and be a part of this green initiative.
