The neighbourhood foundation "With Heart and Hand for Wersten" is marking its 20th anniversary on July 5th, a testament to two decades of service and support for the community. Established in 2004, the foundation has been working tirelessly to provide aid where it's needed and look out for one another in the neighbourhood.
The foundation's food distribution centre at Burscheider Straße 24 is a vital resource for many residents, particularly in light of rising prices that pose challenges for many individuals and families. Every Tuesday from 2:30 to 5 PM, around 100 food bags are distributed to Düsseldorf pass holders.
Recently, the board of the foundation donated 80 coffee and tea packages to the food distribution team. These packages, while not a regular part of the assortment at the centre, are sure to bring smiles to the recipients.
