Community Celebration: Heidkamper Game Festival
The 6th Heidkamper Games Festival is set to take place on August 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bensberger Straße 133, 51469 Bergisch Gladbach. This free event, organized by the City of Bergisch Gladbach - Department of Social Urban Development, aims to keep children aged 5 to 12 entertained during the last weekend of their holidays.
The Heidkamper Games Festival is a joint initiative by the Heidkamp Round Table, a group consisting of local actors and organizations who come together to plan joint actions, bundle forces, and make a difference in the neighbourhood. The festival features twelve gaming stations for children to enjoy, including a Bobby car course, goal shooting, sensory boxes, duck fishing, bowling, face painting at the kindergarten, and browsing through the open clothing store of the German Children's Fund.
Refreshments at the festival include coffee, cake, and fresh waffles. Every child who participates in the event will receive a small surprise at the end. Game passes will be distributed at the entrance of the event, and each played station at the festival will receive a stamp.
The following organizations are involved in the Heidkamper Games Festival: German Children's Fund, Rheinisch-Bergische Settlement Society, Youth counseling center of the AWO, Youth workshop of the AWO, Catholic church, Protestant church, New Apostolic church, Intercultural meeting point PAULA, simply together e.V., Fachdienst for integration and migration of the Caritas Rhein-Berg.
