County of Sömmerda welcomes thirteen diverse women, each with her unique style, in its local nursery
The small town of Kölleda is bustling with artistic energy as the Kultur- und Museumsverein Kölleda celebrates its 30th anniversary with a group exhibition titled "Favorite Pictures and More". This diverse showcase, featuring the works of the art course members, is open for viewing until mid-September.
The exhibition, held at Schloss Beichlingen, showcases a wide array of artistic styles and forms, including painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, and other visual art forms. The works on display reflect the individual preferences and creative approaches of each artist, creating a unique and vibrant exhibition.
Kirstin Freybote, the art course leader, emphasizes that all works shown were created with joy and fun in creative design. She adds, "It's a testament to the strong community we've built within the art course, one that extends to our families."
The preparations for the exhibition were a collaborative effort. Several course members baked a cake for the opening afternoon, while Armin Metze, Uwe Schiele, and Dietmar Saal helped with hanging and labeling the works in the count's children's room.
The good cooperation between the Kultur- und Museumsverein Kölleda and the art course extends beyond the exhibition. They regularly visit each other's events and engage in intensive exchange of experience.
The art course, which has existed since 2002, has been holding annual exhibitions at Schloss Beichlingen since its inception. This year's exhibition is particularly special, marking the anniversary of the Kultur- und Museumsverein Kölleda.
In addition to the group exhibition, Schloss Beichlingen currently hosts a photo exhibition by Jutta Kalbitz and a painting exhibition by Uwe Lewandowski. To catch a glimpse of these exhibitions, visitors can attend tours on Sundays from 2 to 4 PM, or arrange a visit by contacting 0179 4567 422.
To add to the festive atmosphere, Yvette Michael traveled from Bad Salzungen to musically accompany the vernissage, making it a truly memorable event for all involved. The "Favorite Pictures and More" exhibition is a testament to the creativity, collaboration, and passion of the art course members, and a must-see for art enthusiasts in the region.
The "Favorite Pictures and More" exhibition not only features diverse artistic styles and forms but also extends to a home-and-garden lifestyle, as evidenced by the collaborative baking effort for the opening afternoon. This annual exhibition, held at Schloss Beichlingen, is a lifestyle statement of the strong community built within the art course over the years.
