Cranger Kirmes 2025: Everything You Need to Know
The much-anticipated Cranger Kirmes is just around the corner, and we've gathered all the essential details to help you plan your visit.
Purchasing Your Passes
You can buy your ride passes for the Cranger Kirmes at the Ticketshop of Stadtmarketing Herne, located on Kirchhofstraße 5 in Herne. This is the primary point for buying tickets and ride passes during the festival period.
Festival Locations
The Cranger Kirmes takes place in the area near An der Cranger Kirche in Herne, with additional organization around the Rhein-Herne-Kanal/Schleuse Wanne-Eickel and the Hauptstraße near Florastraße in Wanne-Eickel.
Logistics and Planning
To help visitors plan their visit, 10,000 Crange-Plans will be delivered to various distribution points, including the Stadtmarketing Herne ticketshop, customer centers of HCR, Bogestra, Vestische, from mid-July onward.
Park and Ride (P+R) is available at Herne-Baukau with bus service to the Kirmes location. Tickets for this P+R bus service are sold exclusively cashless on the buses and cost 7 euros per ticket for up to 5 persons.
Ride Passes and Food Passes
With a selling price of 15 euros, each ride pass contains 20 Crangetaler worth 20 euros. The new 5-euro passes have been introduced, making it easier to count and saving resources, as per the wishes of both the Schausteller and the festival-goers.
Each food pass, priced at 20 euros, contains 25 Crangetaler worth 25 euros. Ride passes are not available for purchase on the festival grounds.
Availability and Discounts
Ride passes can be purchased during the 11 festival days while supplies last. Owners of Crangepasses will receive four discount vouchers for the Filmwelt Herne, the Mondpalast, and the Wananas and the Lago.
More than two-thirds of the 15,000 printed ride passes have been sold as of July 24, 2025, so it's recommended to visit the Stadtmarketing Herne ticketshop if you require physical ride passes or tickets closer to the festival dates.
Pre-Sale Locations
Pre-sale locations include Ticketshop Stadtmarketing Herne GmbH, KundenCenter Stadtwerke Herne AG, Herner Sparkasse, Forum Ticket-Shop, Stadt- und Touristinfo Gelsenkirchen, Bochum Ticketshop Touristinfo, DERPART Reisebüro Wattenscheid, EMG - Essen Marketing GmbH, and Besucherzentrum Hoheward.
Remember, the Crangetaler can only be redeemed during the festival period from July 31 to August 10, 2025. Payment can be made with Crangetalers in combination with cash, but cash withdrawals and change from Crangetalers are not possible.
