In Krasnoayarsk, Plans to Revitalize Troyitskoe Cemetery for the City's 400th Anniversary
The city government of Krasnoayarsk has selected a firm, OOO SK "Georg," to develop a concept for the renovation of Troyitskoe Cemetery, the city's oldest and most significant burial ground. The company will be responsible for creating a master plan, conducting a topographical survey, and other related project documentation.
With the necessary permits in hand, OOO SK "Georg" won the tender for the project, agreeing to complete the work for a slightly reduced sum of 49.75 million rubles, less than the initially estimated maximum contract price of 50 million rubles.
The objective is to transform Troyitskoe Cemetery into a tourist and cultural attraction. The historical and cultural value of the site will be preserved, and improved access for visitors is planned, complete with navigational aids, historical markers, and other tourist amenities.
Covering an area of approximately 21 hectares, the current lack of navigation, information, and accessible pathways makes it challenging for visitors to locate and visit the graves of notable Krasnoayarsk residents. To address this, touristic routes with comprehensive landscaping are proposed for the territory of the cemetery.
The development of these routes will include zoning, a trail network, lighting, navigation, seating areas, waste bins, public restrooms, and service facilities. The goal is to make the cemetery a must-see destination for both locals and tourists.
