The Carpenters' Guild of the Rhine-Kreis Neuss is presenting its annual exhibition, "The Good Form," featuring the journeyman pieces of this year's carpentry trade exam graduates. The exhibition, which is being displayed in the foyer of Neuss Town Hall from June 20 to June 29, 2025, is an important driver of modern carpentry in the region.

The exhibition showcases the work of 20 examinees, including 6 young women and 14 men, who have demonstrated excellence in traditional and modern carpentry techniques, innovative woodworking designs, sustainable craftsmanship, and the fusion of artisanal skills with contemporary trends in architecture and furniture design.

Visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favourite journeyman pieces, and a panel of experts will evaluate the pieces based on originality, functionality, and craftsmanship. The evaluation process culminates in the formal ceremony of "Lossprechung" on June 29, 2025, during which the successful journeymen and women will be officially released from their duties as apprentices.

The Carpenters' Guild of the Rhine-Kreis Neuss, a professional association of skilled carpenters in the Rhine-Kreis Neuss area, uses such exhibitions to encourage local craftsmen to push creative and technical boundaries, promote the exchange of knowledge and new ideas within the carpentry community, increase public awareness and appreciation of carpentry as both a craft and an art form, and support the regional economy by highlighting high-quality workmanship and attracting new clients or projects.

The exhibition is open for public viewing until June 27, 2025, during the regular opening hours of Neuss Town Hall. For more detailed or specific information, interested parties are encouraged to check local cultural or guild publications or contact The Carpenters' Guild of the Rhine-Kreis Neuss directly.
