Elzach-Yach's 20th Landscape Day Marks Milestone With First-Ever Children's Program

Elzach-Yach, Germany, hosted the 20th annual landscape maintenance day on September 27, 2025. This year marked a significant milestone, with the introduction of a children's program for the first time in the event's history.

Approximately 70 participants, including around 60 helpers, came together to clear overgrown pastures and maintain hiking trails. This year's event aimed to preserve the typical Black Forest cultural landscape and show solidarity with local farmers.

The highlight of this year's event was the inaugural children's program. Initiators, whose identities remain unspecified, organised activities for children on three different farms. A total of 10 children participated in the program, marking a new chapter in the landscape maintenance day's history.

The 20th annual landscape maintenance day in Elzach-Yach successfully preserved the local landscape and engaged the community, with the addition of the children's program. This new initiative promises to involve future generations in caring for the environment.
