Senior Women and Men Oktoberfest Powered by Office 365 Announced for September 13th in Gießen's Congress Hall
The city of Gießen is gearing up for a special event, as the Senior Women and Men Oktoberfest has been officially announced. Powered by Office 365, the festivities will take place on September 13th, 2025, at the Congress Hall, and the doors will open at 1:00 PM, with the event starting at 2:00 PM.
Social Affairs Commissioner Francisco Arman has extended a warm invitation to Gießen residents aged 60 and above to attend this exciting event. Alfons Dörr, a well-known musician from Gießen and the surrounding area, will host and musically accompany the event. The BlechBRAND orchestra and the Salzböden folk dance group will also provide entertainment.
For those interested in attending, there will be an opportunity to purchase tickets on September 9th, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Frau Nauzmann's office (Room 132, 2nd floor) in the Congress Hall of Gießen. Tickets may also be available for purchase at the box office on the day of the event.
In addition to the live music and entertainment, attendees can look forward to enjoying traditional German fare such as pretzels and Obatzda, which will be served during the break. The entrance fee for the event is 8.00 €, including VAT.
