Autumn Spectacle of Migratory Birds: Crane Tours and Birdwatching Events in Brandenburg
Nature enthusiasts in Brandenburg are in for a treat as thousands of birds, including cranes, gather at their sleeping and gathering places this season. In the coming days, several organisations are offering guided tours and crane safaris to witness this spectacular event.
On September 21, the Heinz Sielmann Nature Landscape Wanninchen invites birdwatchers to observe cranes waking up at sunrise, from 6:30 to 8:30 AM. Wild geese, swans, and white-tailed eagles may also be spotted during this tour.
For those interested in birdwatching, the Sielmann Nature Experience Center Wanninchen (Dahme-Spreewald district) offers bus tours to the cranes' resting places. A pair of binoculars would be useful for these tours.
Meanwhile, the nature experience center Blumberger Mühle in Angermünde (Uckermark) is offering a two-hour birdwatching tour to a resting place for migratory birds on October 4 and 5. Unfortunately, the names of the leaders for these tours have not been specified.
If you're looking for crane tours in the Ruppiner Seeland, there's one scheduled for October 3.
NABU, the nature conservation organization, is also inviting birdwatchers to join their tours on October 4 and 5. Although the names of the leaders for these tours have not been announced, the NABU's Nature Experience Center Blumberger Mühle in Angermünde (Uckermark) will be offering these tours to migratory bird resting places on those dates.
The tours are taking place in the coming days, with dates set for September 19, 25, and 27, as well as the aforementioned dates in October.
