Expanded bus routes heading towards the Rhine Beachfront
The Karlsruhe Public Transportation (KVV) has announced an extended weekend schedule for visitors of the Rheinstrandbad in Rappenwört, a popular recreational area located in Rappenwört, Germany. This move comes as a response to the increasing number of visitors to the outdoor pool facility.
From this weekend until the end of the summer holidays on Sunday, September 14, 2025, KVV will offer additional trips on bus route 13. These trips will operate as express route 13x between Rappenwört and the city center, skipping intermediate stops.
On Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, from approximately 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, extra trips will run every 40 minutes. The express route 13x will serve only the Rappenwört, Eckenerstraße, and Entenfang stops, with stops in Daxlanden being deliberately omitted to provide a faster connection between the Rheinstrandbad and Karlsruhe city center.
The press release emphasizes that these additional trips are intended to facilitate travel for visitors of the Rheinstrandbad in Rappenwört. The Karlsruhe Public Transportation operator VBK, which is part of KVV, hopes that this extended schedule will make it easier for visitors to enjoy their time at the Rheinstrandbad without worrying about their return journey.
This extended weekend schedule is a significant step in improving public transportation services to popular tourist destinations in Karlsruhe. The Karlsruhe Public Transportation (KVV) continues to strive for excellence in providing efficient and convenient transportation options for its citizens and visitors alike.
During the summer holidays, the extended weekend schedule by the Karlsruhe Public Transportation (KVV) aims to enhance the lifestyle of tourists visiting the Rheinstrandbad in Rappenwört. This decision, made to cater to the growing number of visitors, also promotes outdoor-living and home-and-garden experiences by ensuring a hassle-free travel experience for Rheinstrandbad visitors.
