In the Catholic communities of Pforzheim, a special collection drive took place over the weekend. The Sternsinger group from the St. Bernhard community in Arlingen joined forces with the organization 'Kindermissionswerk' to collect donations for social projects aimed at combating child labor, both locally and globally.

The Sternsingergroup, comprising members Eva, Elias, Eileen, and Vincent, were out collecting donations all day. As part of their mission to bring blessings and be a blessing, they also distributed chalked blessings to various community members.

The chalked blessings, framed by the current year, were a separate tradition during the collection drive, not related to the theme of the drive. The Three Wise Kings brought the blessing '20*C+M+B+18' to doorsteps with chalk. This blessing, 'Christus Mansionem Benedicat', translates to 'Christ bless this house'.

The three crosses in the blessing represent the blessing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The chalked blessings were a part of the Sternsingergroup's efforts to bring blessings and be a blessing.

The theme of the collection drive was 'Bring blessing, be a blessing. Together against child labor - in India and worldwide!'. The donations collected during this drive will support social projects aimed at combating child labor, particularly in India.

This collection drive was part of a broader effort to address child labor issues worldwide. The Sternsingergroup's activities during the drive, including the distribution of chalked blessings, were just one piece of the puzzle in this global initiative.
