The Cinemascop Film Festival is set to return to the picturesque summer garden in Eforie Sud, Romania, from August 1 to August 10, 2025. This event, dedicated to European film, contemporary art, and intercultural meetings, promises a week filled with captivating screenings, engaging workshops, and lively community events.

The festival's lineup includes eight European films, starting with a Polish film on August 1 (opening film with a Nobel-related theme). Other films to be screened are Hugh Welchman and Dorota Kobiela's The Peasants, Bogdan Mureşanu's The New Year That Never Came, Paolo Virzì's Like Crazy, Thomas Cailley's Animal Kingdom, Martin Horský’s Women on the Run, Karen Maine's Rosaline, Jiří Mádl's Waves, and Ed Perkins's The Princess.

Beyond the film screenings, the festival offers two evenings featuring music and dance performances and creative workshops and recycling activities. The festival's volunteer team, comprising teenagers, will prepare Dutch pancakes on August 9, while Tatar gastronomy will be celebrated on August 8. Another gastronomic event is scheduled for August 4, featuring a French-style feast with a variety of cheeses and grapes.

The festival's venue, the summer garden (Grădina de vară) in Eforie Sud, boasts the largest projection screen on the Romanian seaside. This venue reopened in 2018 after a revamping initiative by the Czech Center in Bucharest and has been maintained as a national cultural hub by the Visual Arts Forum Association since 2020.

All activities at the festival have free entrance, making it an accessible and enjoyable event for all. Workshops for children are planned for August 3, August 8, and August 9 to August 10. The first community dinner, scheduled for August 1, is organized by the Polish Institute and invites the audience to savor traditional Polish cuisine dishes.
