Filson Expands into Womenswear with August 2023 Launch
Seattle-based outdoor brand Filson is set to expand into womenswear, launching its first collection in August 2023. The new line, based on the brand's 127-year-old heritage, was originally designed for Yukon prospectors.
In 2021, Filson appointed Deck Thompson as its CEO, who continues to lead the brand's expansion. The womenswear line will debut in the U.S. before going global, sold through Filson's e-commerce, retail stores, and select retail partners. The collection aims to attract fashion-forward customers while building on Filson's existing success with female customers.
The initial collection offers 32 styles, including outerwear, shirting, and accessories. Sizes range from XS to 2XL, and prices from $98 to $995. Filson's chief creative officer, Alex Carleton, and Cristina Calori, co-founder and president of WP Lavori, collaborated on the designs. Filson is owned by Texas-based investment firm Bedrock Manufacturing Company, with Awenate Cobbina serving as its current CEO.
Filson's womenswear expansion is set to bring a new offering to fashion-conscious customers, drawing from the brand's rich heritage. With a wide range of sizes and prices, the collection promises to cater to diverse customer needs. The launch in August 2023 is eagerly anticipated by fans of the iconic outdoor brand.
