Gathering at the Family Fair in Lünen elicits a positive response from attendees
On a sunny September morning in 2025, the city of Luenen came alive with the sound of laughter and excitement as the much-anticipated "#Hello_Family!" Baby and Family Fair took place in its newly opened city library.
Organised by the "Early Support" network and the Luenen City Library, the event was held on September 6, 2025, between 10 am and 1 pm. The fair was the first of its kind in Luenen, and it offered a wealth of information and advisory services to expectant and new parents, as well as families with young children.
The event was a veritable hub of activity, with midwives, specialists in parent-child courses, child daycare, family sponsorships, a pediatrician, a baby sleep coach, and experts in infant first aid all present to answer questions and provide guidance.
A highlight of the fair was the virtual reality headset from the Dortmund Children's Protection Association, which drew attention to potential hazards in the home. This innovative tool allowed visitors to experience various scenarios and learn how to keep their homes safe for their little ones.
The fair also featured crafting activities, play stations, a "Sibling Diploma", waffles, and balloons, ensuring that both children and adults had a fun and engaging experience. An accompanying children's program ensured that the youngest visitors were well taken care of.
In addition to the above, the dental service provided valuable information on preventive care and dental health, emphasising the importance of oral hygiene for both parents and children.
Over 120 visitors attended the event on September 6, 2025, making it a resounding success. The annual Baby and Family Fair in Luenen's city library promises to be an invaluable resource for families in the years to come.
