Giessen Senior Fair 2025: 'Growing Older Together' on Oct 11
The Giessen Senior Fair 2025, themed 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', is set to take place on Saturday, October 11, at the Congress Hall. The event, organized by the 'Round Table - Growing Older in Giessen', aims to foster a new culture of aging and provide a diverse representation of later life. Admission is free, and all areas are barrier-free with sign language interpretation available upon request.
The fair will kick off with an opening ceremony led by the Social Affairs Commissioner, Francesco Arman, and the Giessen Senior Choir. Throughout the day, visitors can explore an exhibition program covering health, leisure, care, daily living aids, safety, precautions, and funerals. Interactive activities such as a Repair Café and Rollator Parkour will focus on independence and mobility.
The 'Street of Engagement' will showcase local initiatives and associations presenting their offers for seniors. Additionally, an exciting and diverse framework program will include line dance and seated dance sessions. The fair's goal is to inform, engage, and activate seniors, their relatives, interested parties, and professionals.
The Giessen Senior Fair 2025, running from 10 am to 4 pm, promises to be an inclusive and informative event. With a wide range of exhibits, activities, and services, it aims to celebrate and support the aging community in Giessen.
