Half of New DAX Members Lack Clear Purpose Statements
Half of the new DAX members have yet to formulate a clear Purpose Statement, according to recent news reports. While some companies have received positive feedback for their statements, others have been met with less approval. Experts expect improvements soon.
Among the new DAX members, only 5 out of 10 have published a Purpose Statement. Covestro, Fresenius Medical Care, and Adidas have received approval ratings of 75%, 70%, and 66% respectively. However, Airbus, Zalando, and HelloFresh's statements were approved by less than 40% of respondents.
Gea Group and Scout24, who joined the DAX on September 22, 2025, have not yet published a purpose disclosure. Meanwhile, Qiagen and Siemens Healthineers received approval ratings of 46% and 48% respectively for their statements. Niklas Schaffmeister of Globeone expects the remaining companies to improve their Purpose Statements in the near future.
With only half of the new DAX members having formulated a Purpose Statement, there's room for improvement. While some companies have received positive feedback, others need to work on their statements. Experts anticipate that the situation will improve soon.
