Transformed himself multiple times over. - Has repeatedly transformed his identity.

Hey there! Let's dive into the kaleidoscopic life of Peer Kusmagk, the TV and radio star who's no stranger to reinventing himself. Before you think this is just another run-of-the-mill story, get ready for a rollercoaster ride that'll take you from silver screens to cruising kitchens, and back again. Here we go!

Morning Show Duo and a Kitchen Conundrum

You know him as the charming host of shows like "Sat.1-Frühstücksfernsehen" and "Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten." But did you know Peer Kusmagk once tried his luck with a morning show alongside his then-wife Charlotte Karlinder back in 2004-2005? Unfortunately, pitting personal life and professional duties caused quite a ruckus, and the duo had to separate their teams due to a "relationship crisis." The couple eventually called it quits mid-2005.

Post-separation, Peer took on a delicious venture - opening a French restaurant in Berlin. The gastronomic journey wasn't a cakewalk, though. An unfortunate fire caused by a cable short-circuit in 2010 led to the restaurant's renovation. Peer eventually bid adieu to the restaurant scene in 2017, admitting it was more than just a dream, but a full-time job he couldn't manage alongside his radio station job at 94.3 rs2.

Overcoming the Bottle: The Turning Point

While running the restaurant, Peer found himself grappling with alcoholism. But the tide turned when he participated in RTL's "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" in 2011. He realized his mind was constantly fixated on alcohol when it wasn't within reach. Eventually, Peer underwent a three-month rehab program in 2014.

Embracing Parenthood with Open Arms

Post-rehab, Peer struck a match with surfer Janni Hönscheid on the reality show "Adam sucht Eva - Gestrandet im Paradies" and soon fell head over heels. They tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their son, Emil Ocean, in 2017. Daughter Yoko and son Merlin joined the family in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

Despite the family, Peer hasn't slowed down. They love to travel, and their nomadic life took them from Mallorca, where Peer became a life coach, to Denmark in 2024, where they spent a year renovating an old farm.

A Farewell to the Farm and the Adventure Continues

The farm renovation is almost complete, and it seems the family is ready for another adventure. Janni recently announced the farm's sale on her Instagram, citing personal reasons and unforeseen circumstances as the motivations behind the decision. Their next destination remains a mystery, but one thing's crystal clear—life with Peer Kusmagk promises to remain nothing short of exciting!
