Innovative temporary solution emerploys empty marketplace in Kaarst's child labor market, met with wide approval!
In the heart of Kaarster, a unique event is set to take place next year. The community is preparing for a children's flea market, offering a vibrant and engaging space for both children and adults.
The event space, equipped with floor tiles, lighting, power outlets, and heating, will provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Each participant will be given an area of approximately three meters for a folding table, ensuring ample space for all vendors.
The space, measuring around 1,300 square meters, can accommodate around 100 tables, offering plenty of opportunities for local artists, crafters, and families to showcase their wares.
The idea for this event originated from some dedicated Kaarster families, and it has since gained support from various quarters. Marketing manager Peter Schuck has written to all Kaarster kindergartens, inviting them to participate.
Rolf Retzlaff is also involved in the organisation of the event, ensuring a smooth and successful run. The space has previously been used for a similar market, with an artisanal market by artists of the Verein Angewandte Kunst.Düsseldorf taking place in the same space last October.
Participation in the event is free for all, but a donation of 10 euros is requested from each exhibitor to make bookings more binding. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Malteser children and youth leisure facility "Die Insel" on Asternweg.
If you're interested in participating or simply want to know more about the event, registration can be done by email at [email protected]. Keep an eye on local community websites, city event calendars for Kaarst, or social media pages focused on local events closer to the expected date for the most accurate details.
At the children's flea market in Kaarster, aside from children's goods, local artists, crafters, and families might also display their home-and-garden, lifestyle, and shopping items for interested buyers. Participants will find a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere in the large event space, with adjacent areas for home-and-garden shops to showcase their products alongside other vendors.
