Kate Moss's previous residence in the lush St John's Wood neighborhood of London is now available for purchase

In the heart of North-West London, a Victorian stucco front property that once belonged to British supermodel Kate Moss is now up for sale via Arlington Residential. The house, located on Greville Road in the desirable area of St John's Wood, is priced at £5,950,000.

St John's Wood, with its village atmosphere and a variety of pubs, restaurants, shops, and cafes, has been a sought-after location for many years. The area, which started as a wood belonging to the Knights of St John, was Crown property during the Elizabethan era. In the 19th century, it was developed into London's first garden suburb by the Eyre family.

The house, which Moss lived in for a decade, offers approximately 440 sq m of space, featuring six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a basement, an eat-in kitchen with wide terrace, a garage, a study, multiple dressing rooms, a gym-cum-bedroom, and attic storage space. The garden, which faces south-west, is sheltered by mature trees and is all but invisible from the road.

Moss, who grew up in South London, moved from her St John's Wood home to the Cotswolds in 2012 due to a "built-in desire to move to the countryside." This trend, described as a very British tendency to leave big, crowded cities for more spacious, green, rural living, is common across Britain regardless of upbringing.

Rosie Paterson, the Digital Content Director & Travel Editor for our platform, joined in July 2014. In 2022, she edited the magazine's special Queen's Platinum Jubilee issue and coordinated our platform's own 125 birthday celebrations.

The house, though lacking much character, offers a blank canvas for redecoration. A casual display of a Kate Moss book on the airy drawing room's coffee table is a reminder of its previous famous resident. Regent's Park, the London Zoo, and the West End are in easy reach from St John's Wood, making it an ideal location for those who need to be in London for work or family reasons, or for better infrastructure.
