Lawyer's gathering in Astana

In Astana, the "People's Lawyer" action commenced at 5:00 PM, yet residents began queueing as early as 4:00 PM to secure legal assistance. Hundreds of attendees gathered to seek advice from experienced professionals in various fields, including lawyers, notaries, prosecutors, investigators, court bailiffs, anti-corruption, justice, and tax authorities. Over 100 specialists lent their expertise during the event.

Chairman of the Astana City Legal Consultants' Chamber, Anuarbek Iskakov, explained that their chamber has participated in the action annually since it began. This year, 30 consultants were present to assist residents, many of whom voiced similar questions year after year, albeit with an expanding range of topics, particularly concerning tax issues among entrepreneurs and individual businesses.

Lawyer Arjan Sadauakas highlighted the importance of such events because finding qualified legal assistance can be challenging for many, especially as professional services often prove expensive. He also emphasized a civic duty to help beyond fees.

Mikhail Kolomin, the organizer of the "People's Lawyer" action, stated that over 200 settlements were participating nationwide. The action began simultaneously in major cities and settlements across the country on May 30, 2025. Citizens and businesses could receive free legal consultations and answers to their questions from government agencies at these locations.

Local legal events, like the International Congress of Lawyers, may indirectly address recurring legal questions faced by citizens and businesses by discussing legal reforms, judicial training, and improvements in legal systems. These events could provide insights into common issues, such as legal rights and protections, business regulations, and consumer protection laws.

Nonetheless, for more specific information, it is advisable to consult local Astana legal resources or organizations that offer legal guidance and support to both individuals and businesses.
