Local projects for community integration receive backing from The Land, numbering 34 in total.

The state government has announced the funding of 34 integration projects across the state, as part of the "Integration on the Ground - Strengthening Municipal Structures" funding call. The total amount allocated for these projects is approximately 1.8 million euros.

The funded projects aim to promote social cohesion, strengthen the democratic foundation at the local level, and break down prejudices in diverse society. They will focus on various aspects of integration, including digital participation, encounter and exchange, and social cohesion.

Both municipalities and free carriers are eligible for funding, with a proportional grant of between 75 and 90 percent. Projects that focus on improving digital participation for people with a migration background are a funding priority. Examples of such projects include the establishment of structures for honorary office guides and measures for culturally sensitive design of existing offers, which were also funded in the previous year.

Projects that promote encounter and exchange in diverse society, such as strengthening intercultural dialogue and breaking down prejudices, are also being funded. These projects are expected to foster a more inclusive and welcoming environment for all residents.

The funding decisions for the 2025 funding call were made with the support of a diversely composed, independent expert panel. State Secretary Dr. Ute Leidig from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Integration has made a statement about the funding, expressing her excitement about the promising integration projects that were selected from the numerous applications received.
