Excitement filled the air as thousands of cyclists pedaled their way from the city's outskirts to the heart of Berlin during the ADFC's Bike Parade. Under the banner "All Aboard Bikes!", participants embarked on 20 separate routes spanning a total of 2,000 kilometers. Many groups kicked off their cycle journeys early in the morning, whilst some intrepid cyclists even cycled through the night, arriving from locations such as Polish Stettin, Leipzig, or Dessau. A series of shorter tours for children around Berlin's city center also proved popular. No significant accidents were reported.
As per weather forecasts, participants were bracing for the possibility of thunderstorms and heavier rain. However, upon arriving at the Great Star in the capital during the afternoon, the sun was shining brightly. Organizers praised the good-natured atmosphere, commenting, "It's astounding! People were soaked, people were overheated, but you can see joyous spirits everywhere at the ADFC Bike Parade."
To accommodate the cyclists, various streets were reserved for bikes and closed to cars throughout the demonstration. This included sections of the Avus highway and the A100 South Ring, as well as numerous side streets. Transit and public transportation were encouraged for those entering the city center, while participants were free to join the routes at any given point.
