The highlight of the day will be the presence of the Wildgatter's head keeper. They will be on hand to share their personal experiences and insights into the profession, providing a rare glimpse into the daily tasks of zoo animal keepers.

This includes preparing food, observing animal behaviour, maintaining enclosures, and even supporting breeding programs. The main goal is always the proper, species-appropriate care and welfare of the animals. Essential skills for this role include specialized knowledge of animal behaviour and needs, experience with a wide range of species, teamwork, responsibility, and physical resilience.
