The day begins with a trip to the **Heimatmuseum** (local museum) and its **Bergbaustube** (mining room), open from 9 to 11 a.m. for those eager to delve into the rich mining history of the region. At 11 a.m., the main attraction unfolds as the **Bergmannskapelle** (miners' band) leads the **Bergparade** (miners' parade) through the town, marking the official start of the festival.
Following the parade, festival-goers can enjoy a traditional **Frühschoppen** (morning pint) accompanied by hearty **Erbsensuppe** (pea soup). The main festival program kicks off at 2 p.m., featuring a large **Tombola** with enticing prizes.
For the little ones, there's plenty to keep them entertained, with bouncy castles, an interactive theater, and a dance performance by the CCV couple. Musical entertainment is provided throughout the afternoon by the **Bergmannskapelle**, DJ Alex, and the Big Band of the Wartburgkreis in the Kulturpark.
Various organizations will have informational stands set up, including the DRK Ortsgruppe Vacha, offering face painting for children, a wheel of fortune, and cotton candy. Visitors can also indulge in a variety of refreshments such as coffee and cake, bratwursts, fish rolls, and drinks.
