The SoNoRo Musikland chamber music festival is once again enchanting audiences in Transylvania, Romania, with its 16-day run from July 4 to July 19. This year's event features 23 events, including 16 concerts, two jam sessions, and five children's concerts under the SoNoRo Kids brand [1].

The festival's diverse lineup includes performances by 23 artists and two orchestras: the Sibiu State Philharmonic Orchestra and the SoNoRo Strings Orchestra [1].

Sibiu, the cultural heart of Transylvania, is hosting five chamber concerts at various venues, such as the Hall of Mirrors of the Democratic Forum of Germans in Sibiu, the Esplanade of the Sibiu State Philharmonic, the Concert Hall of the Astra Sibiu County Library, the Roman Catholic Parish Church of Holy Trinity, and the Music Salon of the Brukenthal National Museum [1].

The festival extends beyond Sibiu, reaching out to other charming Transylvanian villages and towns. Copșa Mare, Cincu, Saschiz, Meșendorf, Criț, Viscri, Codlea, Făgăraș, and Brașov are all part of this year's lineup [1].

One of the festival's highlights is the performance at the Fortified Church in Codlea and the imposing Făgăraș Fortress near Brașov. The concerts at sunset and moonlight in these villages add a special charm to the events [2].

A new addition to the festival this year is the inclusion of the Brukenhalle, the former summer residence of the Brukenthal family in Șcheii Brașovului, as a venue [3]. The Weavers' Bastion in Brașov will host the final concert of the festival [5].

The festival's expansion over the years includes jam session-type concerts in houses added to the tourist circuit of the area [6].

Access to the concerts is free, by invitation or reservation, within the available seating [7]. For the most accurate and up-to-date schedule, it is recommended to check the official SoNoRo Musikland communications as the festival progresses.

First held in 2020, focusing solely on the area of the fortified Saxon churches, the SoNoRo Musikland festival has grown in scale and scope with each subsequent edition [8]. This year, the festival returns to the picturesque villages on the Transylvanian Hills, promising another unforgettable musical journey.
