Pastry Haven Expands: Second Location Now Open for Delightful Indulgence
The Tegtmeiers, the duo behind the popular bakery 'Pure Pastry' in Düsseldorf, have expanded their business with a new branch in the heart of Unterbilk. Located at Bilker Allee 74, the new store offers a delightful selection of freshly baked tarts and pastries, setting it apart from their market stall at Carlsplatz.
The new location, a charming café away from the city center, is designed to cater to both lingering customers and those on the go. The desserts, meticulously arranged like little works of art, include New York cheesecakes, raspberry basil tarts, and pistachio mousse, in addition to the classic croissants that range from 3.80 to 4.80 euros.
Macarons are a sweet treat at 2.30 euros each, but pralines are not available at the Bilker Straße store, although they can be ordered online for pickup. The café also offers coffee from a hand filter, but no specific pricing details have been released yet.
Clara and Tim Tegtmeier, the passionate bakers behind 'Pure Pastry', emphasize that the new Unterbilk branch is not just a place to buy treats, but a place to enjoy. During the press event on Thursday evening (31st July), several passersby, families, and neighbors visited the new store, with most leaving with a bag or several bags of treats.
Interestingly, the Tegtmeiers have a personal connection to the new café in Unterbilk, but no new information about this connection has been disclosed. The range of products at the new 'Pure Pastry' café is the same as at Carlsplatz, but with a focus on freshly made tarts and a wider variety of pastries that are not as emphasized or potentially not available at the market stall.
