Paws in the Park Returns Oct. 12 for Animals & Adoptions
Paws in the Park, Alexandria's popular fall festival celebrating animals, returns to Oronoco Bay Park on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and benefits the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA), supporting homeless animals in Alexandria and pets throughout the community. Alexandria Toyota sponsors the main stage entertainment.
The festival kicks off with the first 1,000 attendees receiving a swag bag. The main stage will feature bilingual musical act 123 Andrés and a Pet Costume Contest, sponsored by Alexandria Toyota. For the little ones, the Family Fun Tent offers arts, crafts, and activities for all ages, while the Silent Auction Tent showcases unique experiences and items.
Local artisans, nonprofits, animal-focused businesses, and food and beverage vendors will be present. Rescue Row will showcase adoptable animals from local animal welfare organizations and rescues, giving attendees the chance to meet and potentially adopt new furry friends. The event is open to leashed, well-behaved pets of all types.
Paws in the Park promises a day filled with live music, shopping, family entertainment, and pet adoptions. By attending, you'll be supporting the AWLA in their mission to help homeless animals in Alexandria and the wider community. Don't miss this pawsome event!
