Portugal's vast wave pool gears up for a fresh wave of surfers
Praia das Rocas, Portugal's largest wave pool and a popular summer destination for families, has announced ticket sales for the upcoming season. The expansive water park, spanning 2,100 square metres, has been a favorite among locals since its opening in 2005.
Drifting towards affordability and accessibility, ticket prices for Praia das Rocas are determined by age group, season, and time of day. Young visitors between six and ten years old, as well as seniors aged sixty-five or older, can purchase tickets starting at seven euros from 2 pm onwards. In contrast, adults aged between eleven and sixty-four pay anywhere from eleven to thirteen and a half euros during high season. Prices for a full day visit extend to nine and ten euros for children and seniors, respectively, during the off-peak periods of June and September.
A variety of special family packs is also available, though their specific pricing details remain undisclosed. Despite this, visitors can expect to pay between seven and thirteen and a half euros depending on their age, the visiting month, and time of day. Alternatively, they can save a couple of euros purchasing tickets only for the afternoon starting from 2 pm.
Although June and September offer slightly lower rates compared to July and August, the water park maintains its allure as a notable destination for families. With its vast wave pool and entertaining atmosphere, Praia das Rocas continues to thrive as an integral part of Portuguese culture.
