Raucous celebrations with firearms characterize the Gunners' festivities in Kranenburg.

The small village of Kranenburg-Mehr is set to transform into a bustling festival ground from August 22 to 25, 2025, as the Kranenburg-Mehr festival returns for another exciting event.

While the exact schedule and highlights of the festival have yet to be officially announced, the event promises an exciting programme for visitors. The festival will feature popular events such as the King's Shooting, children's activities, live music, and a coronation ball.

On the opening day, Friday, August 22, the "Mehr Party" with DJ duo Disco Sound Machine will kick off the festivities. The King's Shooting will take place at a specific time, with the local sports club selling coffee and cake during the event.

For the first time this year, a stall with fish specialties will be available at the event, catering to the visitors' culinary desires. The Frittenschmiede from Michael Schweppe in Kevelaer will also be on hand to ensure that visitors' physical well-being is taken care of throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, a children's disco will take place from 6 pm, providing entertainment for the little ones. From 8 pm onwards, a big party with hits from the 80s and 90s will get the crowd moving.

The new marksman king, his throne, and the representatives of the friendly clubs from Niel and Keeken will be celebrated in the festival tent. The live band "McKing" will provide the atmosphere for the coronation ball, which will take place after the King's Shooting on Sunday. Entertainment and prizes will also be provided for the children during the King's Shooting on Sunday.

The coronation ball will take place in the festival tent at Querweg 6 in Kranenburg-Mehr and will conclude the Kranenburg-Mehr event on Monday. The marksmen will pick up the new king at his residence at 5:45 pm on Monday to begin the coronation process.

Admission to the event is free the whole weekend, making it an affordable option for families and friends to enjoy the festivities. A special offer of bottles of beer for two euros will also be available during the event.
