A Sustainable Wedding Celebration at Salt House

In a beautiful fusion of luxury and eco-consciousness, the Salt House wedding project, masterminded by Jacqui O Floral Design, showcases the art of sustainable floral design. The event, held at the historic Salt House, a Grade II listed Edwardian manor, was a testament to the "Jacqui O Experience," which balances opulent wedding design with a conscious heart.

Jacqui O Floral Design used a single set of British-grown, bee-friendly flowers to create a unified look with depth and movement. The floral palette consisted of spring flowers in deep reds, fuchsia, and soft blush tones, including tulips, ranunculus, sweet William, and ribes (flowering redcurrant). These blooms not only provided a visual feast but also supported pollinators, such as bees, enhancing ecological benefits beyond aesthetics.

The entrance of the venue was framed with floral columns featuring the same blooms, setting a joyful and romantic tone. The staircase was dressed in soft floral accents, creating a picture-perfect and atmospheric setting. A blush-pink cotton welcome sign was flanked by a column and a ground arrangement in the antechamber, creating an intimate first impression.

The bride carried two statement bouquets: one with just tulips and a sculptural leaf, the other with ranunculus and tulips with no foliage. The groom wore a floral pocket piece designed to echo the bride's bouquet. A whimsical floral arrangement adorned the piano, creating a serene and romantic atmosphere.

The strategic use of fewer impactful blooms, smart repurposing, and sustainability were key aspects of the floral design. For instance, the same blooms were repurposed across five distinct wedding moments, reducing the total volume of flowers needed without compromising beauty. This approach minimized waste while achieving luxury and style.

The Salt House wedding also featured collaborations with other wedding vendors who shared the same sustainable ethos. With Love Wedding Stationery provided the stationery for the event, Shropshire Petals provided the confetti, and Lollie & Bean Cakes created the wedding cake. Elena Valentino Bridal was responsible for the hair and makeup, and Victoria Amrose Photography captured the wedding.

The model couple for the event was @d.x1_ukcouple. A vintage phone box near the cocktail lounge was decorated with a playful cascade and mini meadow, becoming a popular spot for guest photos.
