In the Eastern expanse of Russia, there's a striking uptick in the desire for nanny and caregiver services, as per Avito Services data from May 2025.
Leading the charge is Khabarovsk Krai, clocking in at 26% of all regional queries. Next in line are Amur Oblast (21%), Buryatia (19%), Zabaykalsky Krai (17%), and Kamchatka (10%).
This pattern persists on Sakhalin, where the demand for nanny services has skyrocketed by 4.5 times, and in Primorsky Krai, where requests have risen by 2.5 times (+174%). Yakutia has joined the roster of frontrunners, showing a 80% surge in requests compared to the previous year. Buryatia follows suit with a 15% increase.
A positive trajectory is also evident amongst professionals: in Primorye, nanny and caregiver numbers have soared by 50%, whereas Buryatia and Zabaykalsky Krai boast a 22% and 17% increase, respectively. Yakutia and Kamchatka see a 7% and 4% boost, respectively.
The average hourly rate for nanny services in the region is 369 rubles. In Khabarovsk Krai, the average cost is slightly higher at 396 rubles, with the most expensive service found on Sakhalin Oblast, at 560 rubles an hour.
