Salford's Major Redevelopment: 450 New Homes, Parks Revamp
A major redevelopment project is underway in Salford, with realtors aiming to transform a former High Street estate into 450 new homes. This project is part of a larger plan to deliver 3,000 new and refurbished properties in the northern area of Salford. A public consultation was held this week at Pendleton Gateway Centre to exhibit the plans and gather news from the community.
The redevelopment includes a mix of houses and apartments, with one-to-four bedrooms available to cater to different needs. Notably, 30% of these homes will be accessible for affordable tenures, ensuring a mix of housing options for local residents.
The project also involves the revamp of Clarendon Park. Plans include adding more trees and flowers to enhance the park's aesthetic appeal. Additionally, an all-weather five-a-side sporting pitch and a skate park are set to be constructed, providing new recreational facilities for the community.
Work is currently ongoing to deliver phase three of the project, the 344 home Spinners Quarter. This phase is a significant step towards the completion of the entire project.
