Schnevdingen's New Cultural Center Nears Completion, Opening May 3
The Schneverdingen cultural association's new balance cultural center is nearing completion. While still under construction, the first items have begun moving in, and the opening date has been set for May 3.
Work is progressing steadily at the new balance cultural center. The first lilac moving vans have started transporting items from the cultural storage facility to the new location. Meanwhile, at the Old Slaughterhouse, the new office space is almost ready for occupancy. Various trades are currently on site, working on the interior. Heating has been installed, and electricians have started their electrical work. The event hall has received a dark coat of paint and awaits exterior plastering. The attic is being insulated, and carpenters are installing acoustic ceilings.
The association's current business office on Oststraße will close by January 31 due to lease expiration. The association is putting pressure on itself to complete the work by the announced opening date of May 3.
The new balance cultural center is expected to open on May 3, with the association working diligently to meet this deadline. Despite the progress, the association has acknowledged that the opening news may slip to 2027, as suggested by negotiation leader Dorothee Schröder.
