The hip, vibrant city of Tallinn, Estonia, is about to witness an architectural marvel taking shape in its heart, courtesy of a powerhouse team of French and Estonian designers. The soon-to-be iconic skyscraper, christened "Lumière", will tower proudly at Tartu Maantee 17, adjacent to the bustling Stockmann shopping center.

In an architectural competition drawing wide acclaim, an impressive 87 architectural teams from all corners of the globe pitched their visions, and the winning design emerged triumphant. Boasting a sustainable ethos, Lumière will offer chic living spaces to the business district of Tallinn and redefine the city's landscape with a new urban vibe.

The building, with its eco-friendly design, makes optimal use of natural resources and caters to local climate conditions. Lumière will house a mixed-use complex incorporating residential, commercial, and public spaces, such as cafes, restaurants, art galleries, and wellness centers. At its core lies a public viewing platform offering a breathtaking panorama of the city.

Artfully fitting within the permitted height limit of 130 meters (427 feet), the new skyscraper will stand tall at 125 meters (410 feet). This height aligns perfectly with other prominent high-rise buildings in the Maakri neighborhood.

Marcelo Joulia, renowned architect and founder of Naço Architectures, is a key player in the Lumière project. Known for his creations in cities like Paris, Dubai, Shanghai, and Buenos Aires, Joulia promises a design that harmoniously blends nature with urban living. Lumière's design is rooted in two essential principles: sustainability and innovation, embodying their commitment to a more sustainable way of life.

Lumière will be nestled across Rävala Puiestee from Stockmann, at the intersection of Rävala, Pronksi, Liivalaia, and Tartu Maantee.
