Halloween isn't only about the candy and TV specials; it's about creating a memorable holiday experience through DIY decorations, homemade costumes, and festive foods. Today, we're rounding up three of our favorite Halloween activities to get your house looking frighteningly fantastic this October!
Fancy a creepy haunted house or a spooktacular movie night? This DIY spider mobile's the perfect addition to your decor. You'll need pom poms, pipe cleaners, googly eyes, cardboard, and a little yarn. Form spiders y'all, attach them to your mobile, and hang it up! For an extra scare, add bats, ghosts, and witches cut-outs. YIKES!
Got a sweet tooth, boo? Satisfy it with these eyeball cake pops! Bake a plain cake (box mix is cool), crumble it up, add cream cheese, butter, sugar, and milk, and mix 'til it's a dough-like texture. Refrigerate overnight, form into balls, dip in white chocolate, and decorate with gel icing for the iris, pupil, and veins. Stick a straw in each one for a little extra grossness. Yum!
Lastly, join the ranks of the undead with this Medusa portrait! Have your little Monsters trace Medusa's head and neck on a piece of poster board, and stick crayons onto Medusa's hairline. Melt the crayons with a hairdryer and voila! Once it’s dry, let them add some markers to finish the job. Time to scare some visitors!
