Struggles faced by the velvet-potted animals, as reported by the Animal Welfare Association
The Meiningen Animal Protection Association is on a mission to find the perfect human families for three beautiful black female cats: Mogli, Emma, and Hope, along with Tami, Tamiko, and Kano. These charismatic felines are currently residing in a foster home in the Rhön, but they are eager to find their permanent homes next week.
Mogli and Emma, born in June, are siblings with a striking tiger-like appearance. They are charming and curious, with Mogli being a bit wilder than Emma. Both have recently had their vaccinations and are ready to move into their future homes.
Hope, a white and black cat, was found in a weakened state at the end of April in a roadside ditch near Dörrensolz. Despite her sensitive nature and a previous ordeal that led to the removal of her teeth, Hope has regained her zest for life after spending time at the animal shelter. She is estimated to be around ten to twelve years old and, despite suffering from toxoplasmosis, has managed to recover with the right food and medication. However, it's important to note that Hope has experienced a return of seizures in a previous home and needs a family with experience in caring for cats requiring medication.
Tami, Tamiko, and Kano, the other three cats up for adoption, have thawed out and become trusting towards humans and other animals after spending some time in their foster home. They are sociable and outgoing, and while Kano is a little more suspicious and reserved than her sisters, it's believed that she will change with the right humans.
These three cats need a feline companion if they are to remain indoor cats. The Meiningen Animal Protection Association urges potential adopters to consider providing a loving home for more than one of these deserving cats.
If you're interested in adopting any of these cats, please contact the Meiningen Animal Protection Association at Tierheim Rohrer Berg by phone at 03693-478460 during weekdays between 11 am and 5 pm or on Saturday morning. The family caring for these cats is the Familie Roth.
The Meiningen Animal Protection Association is optimistic that Hope can find a suitable home where there are no setbacks, and they are confident that these cats will bring joy and companionship to their new families.
