Calling all families! The Bochum Zoo is bustling with excitement for its annual Family Day, and you're invited! On June 15th, immerse yourselves in a day packed with fun, learning, and connecting with the amazing zoo animals.
Squeals and laughter will fill the air as kids and youngsters (up to 17 years old) get in for free! Over 30 local advisory centers and charities have teamed up to make this event a colorful, interactive spectacle that's fun for folks of all ages.
Creative Crafts, Knowledge Games, and More!
Witness the magic of the zoo come to life with creative crafting activities, engaging knowledge games, and informative consultations all around the zoo grounds. Plus, it's not every day you can experience live animal feedings of seals, nose bears, penguins, skull monkeys, coral fish, and wading birds – all complete with enlightening commentary!
Animal-assisted therapy demonstrations and interactive activities turn up the fun factor with a dose of education, leisure, and family time.
An Exciting Stage Show Awaits!
Get ready for a musical treat as the Bochum Music School kicks off the day's entertainment with their choir, brass band, and song orchestra. The event continues with a medley of performances from the TVK Wattenscheid's kindergarten group, the acrobatic exploits of SAV Lünen, and the adorable dances of Dance 'n' Fun's kindergarten crew.
New this year, step into the Dance Loft and the yoga studio Kashi Yoga Sangam, which bring even more interactive activities to the table.
Animal-Assisted Therapy Demonstrations
Don't miss out on the eye-opening animal-assisted therapy exhibits presented by the LWL University Clinic Bochum and the search dogs NRW from Bergisches Land.
