Tomorrow marks the grand opening of the repair shop.
Residents of Tegernheim and beyond have an opportunity to breathe new life into their old appliances as a free repair session is scheduled for tomorrow in the parish hall.
Between 14:00 and 17:00, volunteers will be on hand to attempt repairs on a variety of devices, including irons, radios, radio alarms, vacuum cleaners, CD players, stereo systems, hair dryers, and cordless vacuums.
If you're the owner of a device in need of repair, you're in luck! Approximately 80% of the devices brought for repair can be fixed during the session. However, for those devices that cannot be repaired on the spot, the owner is expected to bring the needed replacement part to the next session.
It's important to note that the owner of a device requiring a replacement part is responsible for ordering it. If a replacement part is not available during the session, the owner is expected to order it and bring it to the next session.
This one-day event is part of local initiatives to save devices from being disposed of as waste, likely involving groups or representatives from environmental or waste management efforts in Tegernheim.
The repair session is open to the public, so anyone can bring their devices for repair. The event is free of charge, making it an affordable option for those looking to extend the life of their appliances.
So, if you have a device that needs a little TLC, head to Tegernheim's parish hall tomorrow and let the volunteers work their magic!
