Transforming Interior and Exterior Spaces through Yarns and Aero Textures
In a captivating display of floral artistry, Hungarian designer Krisztián Kövér has unveiled an indoor installation that blends the natural beauty of flowers with the crafted elegance of yarn. Titled "Yarns and Floating Textures... An Installation That Moves Without Moving," the design is one of two notable creations by Kövér, with the other being "The Graphic Story of Colors, Shapes."
"Yarns and Floating Textures" aims to create an immersive atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, by integrating yarns that add a floating, textural dimension to the floral compositions. This innovative design plays with the interplay between natural flower materials and crafted yarn elements, resulting in dynamic visual effects that heighten the sensory experience of the arrangement through texture and movement.
The vibrant floral palette for this installation includes beige, pale pink, dusty blue, and a touch of rust for warmth. Clematis, Asters, Scabiosas, Lisianthus, Mini Gerberas, Lilies, Alstroemerias, and Caladium are among the flowers incorporated into the arcs of the design. Notable blooms include Scabiosa Bon Bon Scoop™ French Vanilla, Aster Double Date Pink, Miscanthus White Cloud, Eryngium Magnetar Questar®, the purple-blue Clematis Amazing® Oslo, and the soft-toned Clematis Amazing® Miami.
The installation features yarns, rope, and wool in soft, weathered shades, adding a handcrafted feel without being rustic in the traditional sense. The yarns are attached in layers, letting them cascade slightly, creating a visual flow. When choosing containers, Kövér emphasizes the power of shape, with round bottles helping to tie the whole design together, while straight or square ones would create a very different feel.
The wooden chairs' round shapes were mimicked in the arrangement using transparent glass bottles filled with a mix of white and bold-colored flowers. Matching flower shapes with vessel shapes helps the whole design "sing." The piece can stand alone at an event and works well as a backdrop for weddings or photoshoots. The structure has two arcs: an inner and an outer one. The design isn't loud but isn't shy either, holding space with quiet confidence.
