Travel accommodations available in the recently established Travemünde community
Residents and interested parties in Travemünde, Germany, are invited to attend a community engagement event on September 22, 2023, focused on the development of the "Travehusen" district. The event will take place at the Travemünde District School, Hirtengang 10, 23570 Lübeck-Travemünde.
Organized by the project developer BPD, this event aims to gather ideas and visions from the community to shape the future of Travehusen. The day will feature various activities tailored to different age groups.
For children, a "Wünschelgasse" (Wish Lane) will be set up, while an idea bulletin board will be available for teenagers and adults. Additionally, a digital platform will be accessible for suggestions and discussions, and visions for an ecological green space will be collected.
The event will also cover discussions on sustainable ideas for the park, such as orchards, insect hotels, water fountains, and overwintering quarters for local wildlife. The promotion of car-sharing offers, the provision of cargo bikes, and charging stations for e-mobility will also be discussed.
Catering will be provided, with snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
To find more information about this event, potential participants are encouraged to visit the official website of Wohnen Travemünde, check local news portals or community bulletin boards in Travemünde, or contact the local municipal office of Travemünde or Lübeck. Reaching out to local community groups or urban planning forums may also yield valuable insights.
Travehusen is a planned residential quarter that BPD has named, spanning approximately 27 hectares and set amidst an expansive green space with high recreational value. The development, which started in August 2021, will offer subsidized rental apartments, condominiums, townhouses, kindergartens, community spaces, and expansive green spaces for around 1,500 people.
BPD is currently realizing the Wiesental quarter, an automotive-free residential quarter with around 455 apartments, in Lübeck.
Those interested in attending the community engagement event are encouraged to follow Seebad Travemünde on Facebook for updates. The event is open to residents of the old and new Teutendorf settlement, as well as families and children aged 6 and above.
