Volunteer platform launch imminent in Arnsberg - Awaiting official presentation at the upcoming association general meeting on November 18th

In the heart of Germany, the city of Arnsberg is set to revolutionise volunteering with the introduction of a new digital platform - Arnsberg Engaged. This innovative service, supported by the Smart City team and the city's engagement promotion, aims to serve as the central hub for volunteering in the city.

Arnsberg Engaged is open to all volunteers, regardless of age, affiliation, or idea. The platform offers a range of features designed to simplify the organisation of volunteering, including microsites, role management, cloud storage, calendar integration, video conferencing, and task distribution.

One of the key features of Arnsberg Engaged is its digital marketplace, where users can exchange items, share knowledge, and find like-minded individuals. The platform also includes a forum for users and visitors to post content and network with each other.

The Mayor of Arnsberg, Ralf Paul Bittner, explains that the platform is designed to support and simplify engagement in everyday life. He emphasises that club life and local volunteering are deeply rooted in the city and society of Arnsberg and are incredibly important for the community.

The start and initial implementation of Arnsberg Engaged come from the funding project 'Model Projects Smart City'. The platform will be officially presented and used at the next club meeting on November 18, and from this date, it will be live and jointly further developed.

Further training for using Arnsberg Engaged will be offered, and the platform will keep users informed about new regulations and laws. The volunteering platform is free for its users, making it accessible to all who wish to contribute to the community.

Arnsberg Engaged is another building block in the diverse support of volunteering in the city of Arnsberg. The digital volunteering platform is a project of the Smart City Strategy, demonstrating the city's commitment to embracing technology to enhance community engagement.

Club life and local volunteering are at the core of Arnsberg's community, and with Arnsberg Engaged, the city is taking a significant step towards making volunteering more accessible, efficient, and engaging for its residents.
