Jana Ina and Giovanni: A Two-Decade Team in Harmony and Disharmony

Experienced two-decade-long collaboration among team members - We've maintained a close-knit bond for two decades.

Two decades of marriage, two lively teenagers, and hectic schedules - yet Jana Ina (48) and Giovanni Zarrella (47) maintain a beacon of unity. "We ain't got no beef, just pure love," Jana Ina exclaims during a vibrant video shoot for energy provider Eon at the testing lab in Essen.

Despite the countless bumps along the way, their family life is a stormy sea, filled with shows, broadcasts, school, and countless other issues. But how do they manage to stay afloat? "We've got a shared family calendar, a lifesaver of a tool," Jana Ina reveals. "Everything's in there - even the kids' appointments. We block out days for ourselves too - family comes first."

As the 20th wedding anniversary approaches in August, no plans are set - but that's typical for the unpredictable Zarrellas. "We're day-by-day kinda folks. But we'll figure it out," Jana Ina laughs.

Even in the spotlight, the couple knows where the line is drawn between public and private. "I spill beans about our daily shenanigans on Instagram, even crack a joke or two about parenting teens. But the kids is off-limits - all respect due," Jana Ina assures.

Their prolific teamwork extends beyond family and work coordination. They're a well-oiled duo when it comes to energy saving too. "Giovanni's got his eye on the tariffs, so I can charge my car flexibly when it suits the pocket," Jana Ina explains during the video shoot about the energy transition. The children join in too: "They remind us to turn off the lights, save some energy for the planet."

For the Brazilian-born Jana Ina, sustainability is a way of life. Switching from a hybrid to a fully electric car was the first step - installing solar panels is next. "Neighbor's solar panels? Looks damn good if you ask me. Time to snoop around for deets on how to get some for ourselves," Jana Ina says with a wink.

Knowing why her car charges at night instead of instantly puts a smile on Jana Ina's face - "Little things add up, big difference in the end of the year. Energy saved, environment helped. That's what it's all about, everyone should pitch in."

One thing's for certain - the Zarrellas know how to weather any storm with humor, teamwork, and love.

The Commission has also been consulted on the draft directive on the protection of the environment, as Jana Ina and Giovanni Zarrella strive for sustainable living in their home-and-garden. In addition to their shared calendar and energy-saving efforts, their children remind them to conserve energy for the planet, contributing to a healthier lifestyle and environment.
