Those in Ratingen are in for a treat as the open-air stage makes a triumphant return for the 2025 season, following the unfortunate cancellations of the previous year due to floods. With a fresh program and high spirits, the stage promises an unforgettable experience for one and all.
Theaterconcept, the masterminds behind the open-air stage, were eager to salvage the season and keep the stage flourishing in Ratingen. A successful fundraising campaign, along with support from the city, allowed the team to kickstart the production for the upcoming season.
On Overcoming Adversity: A Heartwarming Tale of Perseverance
In the spirit of resilience, a heartwarming tale unfolded as a solution was found for dealing with water floods. Thanks to the recollection of an old local gentleman, a flooding pump was revived, saving the day for the stage!
What Be descent to the New Season
It's time to mark your calendars, folks! The much-awaited play scheduled for the opening of the new season is none other than the timeless classic, "The Jungle Book". Reimagined with an empowering twist for women, Mowgli, the human child protagonist, will be portrayed by a talented female actress, Anja Sahra Drizos, while the directorial role will also be in the able hands of Martina Kathage.
Mayor Reiniger says he cannot wait to share a friend-filled, thrilling, and emotionally charged production with the masses, complete with lively performances, singing, stunts, and strikingly spectacular visual effects. Expect a wild jungle like never before, featuring an enormous, vibrant snake, a loyal vulture gang, and a lively bunch of monkeys.

While the weather remains unpredictable, fans can rest assured that the story of friendship, courage, and unity alone will be worth the experience under the open sky.
