Yearly gathering of the European Watchmaking Associations held in Pforzheim
The annual conference of the European watch associations EUROTempus and Comité Permanent de l’Horlogerie Européenne (CPHE) took place in [location] on Thursday and Friday, with industry experts and stakeholders gathering to discuss pressing issues and shape the future of European watchmaking.

In addition to the conference and Ornamenta 2024, attendees were given the opportunity to visit the Institute for Strategic Technology and Precious Metals, led by Prof. Dr. Carlo Burkhardt, and participate in a city tour that culminated at the Leopoldplatz, where the planned sundial for the Ornamenta 2024 festival will be presented.
The conference was hosted by the Federal Association of Jewellery, Watches, Silverware and Related Industries e.V. (BVSU), based in Pforzheim. The BVSU president, Uwe Staib, welcomed conference guests at Hochschule Pforzheim on the second day.
Due to the upcoming Ornamenta in 2024, the conference venue was moved from Switzerland to Germany in 2022. CPHE president Mario Peserico chaired the discussions on these topics, with Yves Bugmann, president of the Swiss watch association (FH), taking over the presidency of the European watch association from Mario Peserico for the next two years.
